Celtic Europe
From Celtopedia
Celtic Europe is a region of modern Europe where Celtic languages are spoken or where Celtic culture predominates. This area corresponds to the far western seaboard of Europe, often called the Celtic fringe. It does not include any formerly held Celtic areas. The main religions are Catholicism and Protestantism. This area consists of: Ireland (the only independent Celtic nation), Scotland, Wales, the Isle of Man, Brittany, Galicia, Asturias and Cornwall. There is some debate as to whether Friuli in Italy is a Celtic area. They share common cultural traits apart from language, especially art (see Celtic art), music (Celtic music) and relationship to the sea.
